Microsoft 365 organizations
Microsoft Bookingsas a Calendly alternative
Check your existing Microsoft subscription before buying another scheduler.
Revised September 16, 2026 · Documentation-based comparison
When Microsoft Bookings is worth considering
Microsoft Bookings should be an early check for an organization already using Microsoft 365. An eligible existing subscription may cover the scheduler without another separate purchase.
This is a bundled subscription benefit, not a standalone free plan. Verify eligibility and any organization settings with the person who manages Microsoft 365, then test the customer-facing experience.
The tradeoff
Included with eligible subscriptions, rather than a standalone free product.
Free plan and pricing
No standalone free plan. Bookings is included at no extra cost with an eligible Microsoft 365 or Office 365 subscription.

Microsoft Bookings official plan detailsWhat to test before switching
Use a real booking scenario rather than a feature checklist alone. For Microsoft Bookings, start with these checks:
- Confirm that the organization’s subscription and settings allow the intended booking workflow.
- Check staff availability against the Outlook calendars in use.
- Book as an external guest and check the invitation and online meeting details.
Then test cancellations and rescheduling from a separate guest account. Confirm the old appointment is handled correctly and that the guest receives clear instructions.
When to keep Calendly
If your existing setup already meets these requirements, weigh the improvement against the work of replacing booking links, embeds, and integrations. Keep a plan for managing appointments created in the old system.
